Terms of use
Last updated October 20, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Roman Pushkin, who runs Cheetah 101 (“Cheetah 101”, “we”, “us”) from the United States. They cover the website https://cheetah101.com, the Cheetah 101 Mac app and the service behind them (together, “the Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What Cheetah 101 is
A study helper. When you press a button in the app, it sends a screenshot of your screen or of an area you select to our server, which uses an AI model to look at the task and draw hints on your screen: arrows and short notes about where to do the next step. By design it does not give answers or do the work.
2. Use it to learn, honestly
You agree:
- to use the Service for learning, practice and homework where help is allowed;
- not to use it during tests, exams or any work where your school or teacher does not allow outside help;
- not to try to make it produce answers or finished work, or get around the way it is built to avoid that;
- to follow your school's academic integrity rules. They come first.
Hints are suggestions. The AI can be wrong; check its hints the way you would check a classmate's.
3. Accounts and children
You sign in with an email address and a one-time code. Keep access to that inbox secure; whoever can read it can sign in. An account should be created by a parent or guardian, or by a student who is at least 13. A parent or guardian who sets up Cheetah 101 for a child accepts these terms for the child and is responsible for how the child uses it.
4. Free, with fair limits
Cheetah 101 is free for now. To keep it running for everyone there is a daily limit of hints per account (currently 80). We may change limits or features. If we ever introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.
5. Do not misuse the Service
Please do not:
- capture screens you have no right to share, or other people's private information;
- use the Service to break the law or anyone's rights;
- automate requests, scrape the site, overload the servers, or try to get around limits or security;
- reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows it, or resell it;
- try to make the AI produce harmful, hateful or sexual content.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Your content and ours
Your screenshots and your work stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide hints, as described in the privacy policy; we do not keep screenshots. The app, the website, the name Cheetah 101 and the design belong to us. The app includes open-source components under their own licenses, including bigarrow by Franz Enzenhofer (MIT).
7. Third parties
Hints are produced with the help of Anthropic's Claude API. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
8. Ending
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time on the account page. We may stop offering the Service or any part of it; if we shut it down, we will try to give notice on the website.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that hints are correct, complete or suitable for a particular assignment, and that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost grades, data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the six months before the claim, which for a free service is zero. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Before going anywhere else, write to us and we will try to sort it out together. Nothing here takes away rights that the consumer laws of your country give you and that cannot be waived by agreement.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; if a change is significant, we will say so on the website before it takes effect. Using the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
